Soulooper is an indie music producer based in Hangzhou. By incorporating several roles such as producer, multi-instrumentalist, beat-maker, and DJ, he has been active continually since 2021 in Hangzhou's underground music scene. Specializing in instrumental hip-hop, his release 新課表初中必讀書目 mocked the Chinese education system by using required junior high school reading books as the title of each song, soon followed by 你不需要聽清, where he explored a non-conventional yet feasible fusion of traditional instruments and modern sounds.
